## Context
GitHub is where developer communities file issues, open pull requests, and work through problems in public threads rather than private tickets. Unless's AI agent can answer directly inside those issues and discussions, the place your technical users already default to.

Because an issue thread stays on the record, the agent's answer becomes part of the searchable history of the repository, instead of something that has to be re-explained the next time someone hits the same bug. It still runs as one agent across acquisition, retention, expansion, and support, so a contributor who first opened an issue about pricing is recognized if they later file a bug report.

When an issue needs a maintainer's judgment, the agent hands it off with the full thread attached, so your engineering team isn't starting from a blank comment box.

### Key benefits
- __Answers become documentation:__ Because GitHub issues and discussions are public and permanent, an answer posted once helps everyone who finds the same thread later through search.
- __Handoff with full context:__ When an issue needs a maintainer, it goes to your team with the whole thread attached, not just the last comment.
- __Signals from real usage:__ Bug reports and feature requests the agent handles on GitHub can surface buying, retention, and upsell signals to route to your team, not just close tickets.

### How does it work?
Unless answers directly on GitHub issues and discussions, tracking one profile per customer across their journey, spotting signals to route to your team, and handing a thread to a maintainer with full context when it needs one.
